Physiotherapy

Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners (APP) are highly experienced physiotherapists based in our GP practice who have skills to assess, diagnose and manage musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions e.g. joint, muscle or bone pain. You can book directly without the need to see a GP first.

An APP can:

  • Assess, diagnose, and give first line advice on managing your MSK problem.
  • Refer on for further physiotherapy rehabilitation.
  • Order investigations such as x-ray.
  • Make referrals to secondary care services using the same pathways as GPs e.g. orthopaedics.
