How To See A Doctor:

For our registered patients requiring general medical consultations the surgery runs both an appointment system and open access surgeries. The consulting hours are listed below and a list of the doctors consulting posted daily on the 3rd floor notice board.  You can make an appointment with a doctor by telephoning 0131 650 2777. Routine appointments are usually 10 minutes.

If you prefer you can attend one of the open surgeries, if you are registered at this practice. At each attendance you are asked to complete a form indicating which doctor you wish to see. Although one doctor's name will be on your Medical Card, you may consult any of the doctors. However, if you have a continuing problem, it is better to see the same doctor as before.
As it is often busy during Open Access the doctor may only be able to deal with a single or urgent matter. Whilst we will try to accommodate requests for a specific doctor this may not always be possible.
Please note Open Access can get very busy and on infrequent occasions it may be necessary for us to close it early but patients will be advised of this on the day.

We now offer our patients the facility to book routine GP appointments online.  If this is something that you are interested in then pop in and speak to a receptionist at the Health Centre and she will print out the details you require to log on to the appointments system.
